The composition/information on ingredients of Epoxyurethane varnish EPU 042L
Epoxy-polyurethane varnish EPU 042L consists of two liquid components: a base and a hardener.
Packing
Depending on the customer's needs, the following types of packaging may be provided:
- 1 kg/set
- 5 kg/set
- 10 kg/set
- 50 kg/set
Preparation of Epoxypolyurethane varnish EPU 042L
- Enamel should be prepared in a room with local exhaust ventilation system.
- Enamel is prepared immediately before use.
- The red-brown base must be poured into a dry clean container and mixed thoroughly.
- The hardener flows into the base in a small stream with constant stirring.
- After preparing the enamel, the container is closed with a lid.
- It is necessary to exclude moisture, as moisture can cause deterioration of the coating.
- Enamel should be prepared in such portions to use it for 3-4 hours.
Methods of application:
Enamel is applied in any of the following ways:
pneumatic spraying,
brush or rol.
Metal surfaces must be cleaned of grease, dirt, rust till they are shiny. It is most appropriate to use sandblasting machines for this purpose.
Concrete surfaces must be cleaned of grease, dirt, mold.
The surfaces must be dry.
Optimal temperature of enamel application on the surface: 20-25 ºС.
Surface coating technology
Epoxy polyurethane enamel EPU-042L is applied to a pre-prepared surface in two layers with a thickness of at least 90-110 μm.
The drying time of the first layer is 3-4 hours at a temperature of 20-25 ºC., after that the second layer of enamel is applied.
Precautions
When performing painting work, it is necessary to ensure compliance with the safety rules and industrial sanitation.
People involved in the preparation of enamel must be provided with personal protective equipment: robes or other overalls, rubber gloves, goggles, respirators.
Enamel work should be carried out in well-ventilated areas.
In case of contact with the enamel or its components, the contaminated area should be wiped with a rag, and then rinse thoroughly with soap and water. It is forbidden to eat without washing hands after using enamel.
Waste disposal
Production facilities must be equipped with boxes with sand and a neutralizing mixture in case of spillage of enamel or its components in large quantities.
Neutralization the mixture
The components of the neutralizing mixture:
- isopropyl alcohol - 1 mass fraction,
- ammonia (25% solution) - 1 mass fraction,
- water - 5 mass fractions.
The spilled enamel base is covered with sand, collected for disposal, the spilled enamel or hardener is covered with sand impregnated with a neutralizing mixture and collected after 0.5-1 hour for disposal. The recycled product must not be incinerated. After painting, all containers, tools and equipment must be cleaned of enamel, as paint residues form a strong insoluble film.
For this purpose, you can use solvents: ethyl acetate, P-646.
